Boeing Global Services are looking for Engineering Interns to join our team in Dublin and gain exposure through supporting the certification of aircraft modifications. The successful intern will rotate across multiple Engineering functions including Structures, Electrical, Payloads, and Airworthiness to contribute to certification activities and help ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Interns will report to one of our Engineering Managers based on site in Dublin and will collaborate with the global engineering team throughout their rotations.
Job Responsibility:
Rotate across multiple engineering disciplines (Structures, Electrical, Payloads, Airworthiness) to gain broad exposure to certification activities for aircraft modifications
Support the preparation, review, and substantiation of certification documents and technical substantiation packages
Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and meeting minutes for internal review and customer-facing milestones
Learn and apply Boeing’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH) processes and EASA regulatory expectations (where applicable)
Collaborate with other Engineering Interns located across our European sites
Support the compiling of engineering documentation and certification packages including: Wiring diagrams and wire routing installation drawings
Stress substantiation documentation
Engineering Drawings
Test plans and reports
Assist with technical documentation for certification of modifications, including seating installations, cabin interior changes, and structural alterations
Participate in program milestones (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) as a non-technical participant or note-taker, and prepare follow-up action items
Document engineering decisions, assumptions, and constraints with clarity and attention to detail
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, propose solutions, and support project schedules
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program (Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field)
Eligible to work in Ireland
Nice to have:
Interest in Engineering – Electrical / Mechanical based
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to multidisciplinary projects
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks with supervision
EASA regulatory awareness is a plus, but not required for initial rotations (opportunity to learn on the job)
