Engineering Analyst

• Monitor and address database alerts/issues, capacity constraints, and performance related items
• Fully analyze performance issues, identify tuning opportunities and advise developers on SQL tuning options
• Interact and communicate with application developers and support teams to understand and articulate
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
• Follow-the-Sun 24*7 on call support model

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
• Project Management experience
• Database support for critical database systems like Postgres, Mongo, Oracle
• Caching database support for Redis and/or Couchbase
• Working experience on public cloud
• Understanding & implementation of GenAI and relevant use cases
• Good UNIX scripting and automation experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities
• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines
• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Knowledge of automation tools like ANSIBLE and automation scripting/fixing
