Job Description:

The Engineer II position involves addressing guest repair requests, resolving maintenance issues, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring quality standards. The role requires interaction with guests, safety adherence, and teamwork to maintain operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
carry equipment
identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed
assure each day’s activities and problems are communicated to other shifts
display proficiency in one or more engineering categories
troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems
assist with surface preparation and painting, drywall repair, and maintenance cleanup
perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
train and mentor other engineers
perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
no supervisory experience
valid Driver’s License
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
