Job Description:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, visually inspect tools, and identify equipment shut-offs. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and equipment issues while ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Maintain communication and collaborate with guests, staff, and other departments.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
Display proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management
Repair or replace PVC copper pipe
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on plumbing, electrical equipment, and other guestroom items
Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
Adhere to quality expectations and standards

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
