Job Description:

The Engineer II position involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and handling issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role includes physical work, troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and operational standards in a hospitality setting.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Carry equipment such as tools and radio
Locate and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
Display proficiency in several technical categories like air conditioning, refrigeration, carpentry, and building management
Troubleshoot and repair equipment
Perform minor repairs and installations like plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic repairs
Use Lockout/Tagout system
Train and mentor other engineers
Maintain safety and security policies and procedures
Interact positively with guests and employees
Lift and move objects and perform physical tasks
Use computers for work-related information
Complete additional reasonable tasks as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
Valid Driver’s License
