We are looking for an organized and personable Engagement Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth interactions with volunteers and supporting their on-site experience. This position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the social care sector.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome and check in volunteers upon their arrival, ensuring a friendly and efficient process
Act as a liaison by frequently moving between the entrance and the volunteer room to provide assistance and maintain coordination
Offer exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns from volunteers with attention to detail
Maintain accurate records of volunteer check-ins and ensure all necessary information is documented
Foster a positive and welcoming environment for volunteers, encouraging engagement and participation
Communicate effectively via email and phone to provide updates or answer inquiries as needed
Assist with organizing volunteer schedules and ensuring all roles are adequately filled
Support the team in maintaining a well-organized and functional volunteer room
Handle inbound calls and provide relevant information to callers in a clear and helpful manner.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with volunteers and team members
Proven customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and interact professionally with diverse groups
Ability to remain on your feet and walk frequently throughout the day
Proficiency in handling email communications and responding promptly to inquiries
Experience answering inbound calls and providing clear, concise information
A friendly and approachable demeanor with a proactive attitude.
