Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual behavior or security-related concerns
  • Communicate clearly with team members, management, and/or local authorities as necessary regarding incidents, emergencies, or security-related matters
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of activities and observations during each shift
  • Follow all company protocols regarding the carrying and use of authorized weapons while on duty

Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

  • Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security/life safety system alarms
  • Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms
  • speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies
  • Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department
  • Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to Shift Supervisor, Account Manager, and Security Director
