Job Description:

Electronics Technician II position at Synectic Solutions, Inc. (SSI), a government contracting agency focused on logistics, engineering, management, and information technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute cable manufacturing operations
  • Train junior technicians
  • Ensure build compliance
  • Support QA inspections
  • Perform standard cable build, soldering, and testing under supervision
  • Ensure adherence to IPC Class 3 workmanship standards
  • Support assembly and testing processes
  • Review schematics and other technical documentation
  • Maintain, clean, and perform basic upkeep of equipment
  • Communicate updates and technical issues to Lead

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Specialist (CIS)
  • J-STD-001 Certified Specialist (CIS)
  • Connector Assembly Qualification
  • Minimum 2-4 years of cable assembly experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift to 50 lbs
  • Ability to execute installation/lifting of heavy equipment and use of/climbing ladders
  • Proficiency in crimping, soldering, and harness build rework
  • Capable of reading and following cable drawings and travelers

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents and support complex integrated systems in accordance with the published FAA or manufacturer guidance or documentation
  • Perform tasks to include a wide array of complex and varying assignments and understand new technologies and methods that require the application of technical knowledge
  • Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits
