Electronics Technician I

• Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material
• Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments
• Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
• Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc
• Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering
• Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing
• Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

• Minimum of a High School Education
• Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired
• 2+ years’ experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams
• An understanding of electrical currents
• Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks
• Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must
• Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds
• Frequent use of hand tools
• Long periods of standing
• Safety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant
• Certifications as necessary based on function
• lock out/tag out, fork truck certification
• Other personal protective equipment as required for drilling, tapping, deburring, cutting, testing, lifting, and moving equipment

Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired
