Zenovo are looking for an experienced Electronic Technician to join their client in Chichester who are an electronic design and manufacturing company that specialises in high-precision test & measurement systems. A successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the build, maintenance, and ongoing development of electronic products. This is a diverse, hands-on position that involves component-level fault finding, production assembly, prototype builds, customer interaction, and supporting compliance activities.
Job Responsibility:
Perform detailed component-level diagnostics and repairs on electronic products
Conduct structured fault-finding using appropriate test equipment
Evaluate returned units and prepare clear, accurate repair quotations
Maintain precise repair records, service documentation, and internal reports
Ensure all repaired products are thoroughly tested and meet required quality standards prior to dispatch
Support electronic assembly and full box-build activities
Carry out soldering in line with IPC-A-610 standards
Contribute to daily manufacturing operations as needed
Assist with coordinating production schedules and workflow
Uphold high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the build process
Support the assembly and testing of prototypes for new product development projects
Contribute to the implementation of engineering changes and continuous product improvements
Provide support with product safety and compliance activities
Assist with EMC pre-compliance assessments and formal testing programmes
Help ensure products satisfy internal quality expectations and applicable regulatory requirements
Keep technical documentation and records accurate and up to date
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in component-level fault diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment
Solid understanding of both analogue and digital electronics principles
Proven soldering and assembly capability to IPC-A-610 Class 2 standard (including PCB assemblies)
Practical experience in electronic assembly and full box-build integration
Ability to confidently read and interpret circuit schematics and technical drawings
Skilled in the use of standard electronic test equipment
Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting
Experience operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment
Well-developed organisational skills with strong attention to detail in documentation
Must have the right to work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship now or in the future
