There’s a permanent opportunity for you here as an Electrical Shift Engineer to join one of our flagship retails sites in the heart of the West End, London. Hours of Work: 4 days on 4 days off (7am-7pm, 7pm – 7am). Career Progression Route: From this role you could progress into a Supervisor position if desired.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment
  • Carrying out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks allocated
  • Carrying out inspections, fault finding and diagnosis
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Completing job sheets electronically on a Tablet or Smartphone
  • Maintaining site based records and log books
  • Carrying out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximise life expectancy of all equipment
  • Proactively working to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommending improvements
  • Working to all health, safety, compliance and local policies and procedures
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with our customers – face to face, telephone and email

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer facing environment

  • Assist the Site Manager in with the “day to day” running of the contract
  • Supervise client property portfolios to the required output and quality standards

  • Conduct regular work assessments, review mechanisms and continuous improvement opportunities in order to encourage “team working” and “job fulfilment” as practically as possible
  • Responsible for the management of the PPM routines, the attendances to faults and repair processes, the compliance with all Health & Safety issues by the use of directly employed multi-disciplined resident and mobile specialist service technicians and subcontracted specialist in order to meet and exceed the predetermined service expectations contained within the Contract Specification
  • Meet regularly with the Site Manager and Client representatives to review the level of service delivery, to identify areas of continuous improvement opportunity and to resolve all issues that have escalated beyond the first line of his management responsibility
