As Electrical Machines Controls Engineer on our team, you will develop Electrical Control Systems for Machinery specialized for Automation of harness assembly processes. The position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can manage priorities and resources to cover new assigned launches ensuring Equipment and Tooling delivered meeting Aptiv and OEM specific requirements for Wiring Processes. SME with proven technical Knowledge for Electrical Controls Engineering, PLC/SCADA, Automation and Vision Systems for Automated wiring processes. Responsible for new and specialized automated processes development focuses to optimize productivity, quality and cost. Responsible to implement New Technology in wiring processes to position Aptiv as a leader in the market. This position requires an engineer capable to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Also will become the maximum authority for Electrical Controls System and traceability development and ensure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Development of Electrical Control Systems for Machinery specialized for Automation of harness assembly processes
  • Manage priorities and resources to cover new assigned launches ensuring Equipment and Tooling delivered meeting Aptiv and OEM specific requirements for Wiring Processes
  • Responsible for new and specialized automated processes development focuses to optimize productivity, quality and cost
  • Implement New Technology in wiring processes to position Aptiv as a leader in the market
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Become the maximum authority for Electrical Controls System and traceability development and ensure
  • Manage CAPEX budget for product programs
  • Develop and execute training plan for production plants
  • Ensure equipment and tools delivered to Aptiv sites meet Customer and Aptiv requirements
  • Develop supplier network that meet Aptiv requirements
  • Ensure project costs are controlled and the budget is met
  • Generate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement
  • Support and comply with internal guidelines requirements
  • Deliver required documentation for equipment provided to the plants
  • Provide machinery and tools training and recommendations to help the plant become self-sufficient
  • Provide the necessary support to ensure flawless launches

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering areas as Mechanic/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics or similar
  • PLC (AB/Proface/Siemens)
  • Experience in position controls engineer (minimum 3 years)
  • High level programming SCADA mid-High level of experience required
  • Structured languages programing desired
