Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the Authorised Person (AP) for electrical systems, ensuring safe isolation, switching, and permit-to-work procedures
  • Prepare and issue electrical permits, including authorisation for energisation and de-energisation activities
  • Supervise and monitor electrical works to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and risk assessments of electrical systems
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical activities and permits issued
  • Support commissioning teams and ensure safe handover of electrical systems
  • Promote and enforce a strong culture of electrical and workplace safety

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in electrical engineering or electrical systems within construction, commissioning, or large-scale industrial projects
  • Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Certification/experience as an Authorised Person (AP) in HV/LV electrical systems is essential
  • Strong knowledge of local and international electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Proven experience in issuing electrical permits and overseeing isolation/energisation procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to work in a contract role for 12 months and travel as required
  • A valid Visa/Work permit for the specific job location is essential
