Ensure compliance with all applicable Polish BHP regulations (Kodeks Pracy, Rozporządzenia BHP) and corporate EHS policies
Serve as the primary contact for Polish authorities (e.g., Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy, Sanepid, Fire Brigade) during inspections and audits
Conduct and maintain risk assessments (RA/JSA), workplace inspections, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions
Lead/support incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, issue corrective/preventive actions, and communicate lessons learned
Develop, deliver, and track mandatory EHS training (onboarding, periodic health and safety training, toolbox talks) ensuring full compliance
Coordinate emergency preparedness and response (emergency response plan, first aiders, fire protection, evacuation drills)
Maintain EHS records, KPIs, and reports, including incidents, training status, inspections, and compliance statistics
Support environmental programs: basic compliance checks on waste, water, air
support corporate sustainability reporting
Lead or support internal audits and prepare sites for external or corporate audits
Drive safety culture and employee engagement through campaigns, coaching, communication of alerts and lessons learned
Being a point of contact for central functions, localizing and driving global activities, participating in global projects
Help with other tasks designated and managed by the company management within the framework of the goals of the company
Requirements:
Minimum few years of experience in a similar HSE/BHP role, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or construction environment
Higher education in the following fields: "Occupational health and safety", "safety engineering", "safety management'' compliant with Polish regulations (Rozporządzenie Rady Ministrów z dnia 2 listopada 2004 r. w sprawie służby bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy)
In-depth knowledge of Polish labor code and occupational safety regulations
English and Polish languages fluency required
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation
Good communication skills: ability to train and engage employees at all levels
Independent, proactive working style
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with risk assessments, inspections, and training delivery
Additional methodological courses on conducting classes or additional certification as a Health and Safety Specialist (Specjalista ds. BHP) or Inspector (Inspektor BHP)
Experience in international companies or familiarity with EU safety standards
