Albert Bartlett is pleased to announce a secondment opportunity for the position of Dry Stores Supervisor at our Westwick site. This role offers a unique chance for career development and hands-on experience managing dry goods inventory in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of dry stores operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of dry goods
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and manage stock levels to meet production demands
  • Supervise and lead a team of stores personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure the availability of materials while minimizing excess inventory
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct regular audits to assess stock accuracy and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement best practices for efficient inventory management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a stores or inventory management role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive performance
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with stock management systems and best practices
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations as they pertain to warehouse operations
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Forklift license or ability to undergo training (desirable)
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and inventory management
