We are seeking digital experienced and helpful individuals like you to join our diverse team of Drivers in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Your mission will be to ensure excellent customer service, health, and safety of our passengers and help spread Smiles as part of our international team. As a Tourism Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation to tourists visiting various destinations across the country. Your primary goal will be to enhance the travel experience by ensuring guests are transported comfortably and securely while offering exceptional customer service. This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to live and work in Costa Rica before applying.
Job Responsibility:
Safely transport tourists to various destinations throughout Costa Rica
Provide a comfortable and pleasant journey, ensuring a high standard of service and professionalism
Offer insights and information about local attractions, culture, and points of interest
Ensure the vehicle is clean, maintained, and fueled for each trip
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company guidelines
Assist tourists with loading and unloading luggage
Keep track of the schedule and notify management of any delays or unexpected changes
Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor
Stay informed about road conditions and traffic patterns
Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management
Requirements:
Valid Costa Rican driver's license (Type B or A preferred)
At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in tourism or passenger transport
Strong communication skills in Spanish
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations
Physical ability to assist tourists with luggage and perform other light duties
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the geography of Costa Rica and popular tourist destinations
English proficiency
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of essential vehicle maintenance
