Robert Half is partnering with a growing HVAC services organization seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily service operations. This role is responsible for coordinating technician schedules, managing service requests, and ensuring timely response to customer needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Schedule and dispatch HVAC technicians for service calls, maintenance appointments, and emergency requests
Monitor daily schedules and adjust assignments based on urgency, technician availability, and geographic efficiency
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding appointment confirmations, updates, and service inquiries
Coordinate with technicians to ensure accurate job details, parts availability, and completion timelines
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and job documentation in internal systems
Track job progress and follow up on open service tickets to ensure timely completion
Support billing and invoicing processes by verifying work order details and technician notes
Collaborate with operations and management to improve scheduling efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
2+ years of dispatching or service coordination experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related field preferred)
Strong knowledge of service scheduling and routing logistics
Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
Experience in the HVAC or skilled trades industry
Familiarity with service management software (ServiceTitan, ESC, FieldEdge, etc.)
Understanding of HVAC terminology and service workflows
