Director of Sales position at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul. Functions as the leader of the property's segmented sales effort and responsible for implementing the segment sales strategy and achieving segment revenue goals, property revenue goals and guest and employee satisfaction. Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.
Job Responsibility:

Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function
Achieves personal booking goals and makes recommendations on booking goals of direct reports
Works with sales leader to ensure understanding of sales strategy
Develops, implements and sustains aggressive solicitation program
Works with management team to create and implement sales plan
Assists with development and implementation of promotions
Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential
Monitors all day to day activities of direct reports
Approves space release for catering to maximize revenue
Participates in sales calls to acquire new business
Executes operational aspects of business booked
Analyzes market information using sales systems
Assists Revenue Management with accurate projections
Reviews sales and catering guest satisfaction results
Displays leadership in guest hospitality and customer service
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
Meets with guests during pre- and post-convention meetings
Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
Observes service behaviors and provides feedback
Ensures customer recognition program is in effect
Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders
Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels
Works with Human Resources, Engineering and Loss Prevention for compliance
Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions
Interviews and hires management and hourly employees
Develops, implements and maintains departmental orientation program
Utilizes available on the job training tools
Requirements:
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience in sales and marketing
OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience in sales and marketing
Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
Experience in revenue management and maximizing revenue potential
Experience managing sales activities and team members
Experience analyzing sales and financial data
Experience in customer service leadership
Experience building relationships with key stakeholders
Experience conducting human resource activities including hiring and training
