Job Description:

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead our skilled and high-performing Engineering team and will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of all building systems while driving operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. In this leadership role, you will lead a team to success through managing day-to-day system operations and maintenance routines of the property, empowered to make an impact.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee all preventative maintenance repairs whilst showcasing your creative and innovative skills
Drive sustainability initiatives throughout the property
Deliver training for Engineering Talent to ensure they are continually developed
Create, develop and maintain strong relationships with key contractors and clients for equipment and relationship building
Managing the engineering maintenance team and supporting them with operational tasks
Actively identify, conduct and manage repairs to the building and equipment
Oversee building & service standards and identify and implement improvement initiatives, setting the pace in the industry
Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures whilst demonstrating the W Service Promise

Requirements:

Relevant Leadership experience in Hotel Engineering & Maintenance
Enthusiastic to escalate your career
Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude
Trade background is highly regarded but not a requirement for the role
Ability to lead a team effectively
Personality PLUS you thrive working in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
