Job Description:

We are hiring a Director of Community & Developer Advocacy to found and scale Tines’ community and technical content engine. You will create a thriving technical builder community and build a repeatable system that scales creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality templates and library content. This is a hands-on senior role at the intersection of community building, developer advocacy, and growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the community strategy, operating model, and platform decision, then launch and drive early momentum
  • Build core community programs (e.g. office hours, AMAs, challenges, champions)
  • Own templates and the library end-to-end, including the template quality bar and review process
  • Build the technical content pipeline: intake, prioritisation, creation, QA, publishing, curation, and maintenance
  • Establish a bottom-up contributor motion (customers, champions, partners) to scale breadth and depth of our templates & library sustainably
  • Partner with wider Growth and Product org on developing strong feedback loops and improving user activation
  • Partner with Support to make the community genuinely useful from day one via clear escalation and coverage models
  • Partner with Marketing on packaging and amplification of programs and content
  • Define a small, high-leverage evangelism motion that feeds the community and content engine (bounded scope, minimal travel)

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in technical community building, developer advocacy/DevRel, technical education, ecosystem programs, or adjacent growth roles
  • Preferably with experience in an early stage, high growth company
  • Strong technical credibility with builders, with enough depth to operate as a power user and earn trust with technical practitioners
  • Demonstrated experience building technical communities and developer programs, including launching new motions and creating durable momentum
  • Proven ability to scale technical content or asset engines (e.g. templates, examples, playbooks), with clear standards and governance
  • A builder mindset with pace, you ship v1 quickly, learn in public, iterate, and keep the scope winnable, even with ambiguity
  • Strong judgement and ownership, able to set a high bar, prioritise well, and deliver outcomes in ambiguity
  • Metrics-oriented and operationally excellent, able to run a clear cadence and measure value, not just activity
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, partnering effectively across Product, Support, Marketing, and Partnerships to execute at pace
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary
  • Startup equity & extended exercise window
  • Matching retirement plans
  • Home office setup
  • Private healthcare plans
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Extra company holidays
  • Generous parental leave programs
  • Flexibility in how and where you work
  • Phone and home Internet allowance
