Job Description:

Realise Futures has a vacancy within our team for Digital and Work Skills tutors. We are looking for knowledgeable and passionate tutors. The working base is flexible but outreach delivery is the norm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support learners in developing the skills required for success in both life and work
  • Achieve this through formal assessment or by completing the RARPA process for non-accredited courses
  • Ensure that high-quality provision is delivered consistently

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 3 teaching qualification
  • Subject specific qualification in the relevant areas
  • Experience of teaching in any of the following areas: digital skills from level 1, health and care, health and safety, food safety and business and administration
  • Willingness to travel to deliver in partner venues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive attitude to working in partnership
  • Flexibility in the role
  • DBS check

  • Providing consultation and mentoring to students
  • Creating assignment briefs and exams papers
  • Providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence

  • Providing, if needed, private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance and to prepare for exams
