We are seeking a Digital Automation Support Analyst to provide first‑line support for automation workflows and digital tools across Core Transport. The individual will play a key role in maintaining automation stability, resolving issues, collaborating with operational teams, and contributing to the development, testing, and deployment of new automation initiatives. This role suits individuals with strong scripting capability, hands-on problem‑solving skills, and experience in IP and transmission networking.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the first point of contact for automation-related queries, resolving or escalating issues promptly
Support the smooth running of automation tools and scripts to minimise disruptions
Collaborate with operational teams to gather requirements, document processes, and identify automation opportunities
Assist in testing, deploying, and monitoring new and existing automation workflows to ensure they meet operational and quality standards
Maintain accurate documentation of automation assets, changes, and incident records
Contribute to user guides, training materials, and internal knowledge‑sharing sessions
Participate in process reviews and suggest improvements aligned with digital transformation objectives
Demonstrate continuous learning and adaptability to new automation tools and emerging technologies
Requirements:
7–8 years of experience supporting automation, scripting, or digital tooling
Proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as pexpect
familiarity with Bash, PowerShell, or Java is desirable
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Strong understanding of APIs, database management, and SQL
Knowledge of IP and transmission networking
Network+ or CCNA certification is advantageous
Exposure to DevOps or software engineering environments is beneficial
Analytical mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work 9 AM–5 PM UK hours
