The Digital Strategy Director owns the vision, health, and performance of the Paid Marketing, SEO, and Customer Journey service area including its people, products, processes, and tools. They lead with See.Spark.Go’s mission, values, and growth mindset, serving both clients and team members by ensuring operational excellence, relational leadership, and sustainable growth. This role is responsible for leading, managing, and holding their team accountable, driving client retention and strategy, refining service offerings, and developing high-performing team members who deliver exceptional results. This team member will need to have a deep understanding of multi channel digital strategy as well as how campaigns are shaped by data, insights, and platform-specific best practices.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, manage, and coach team members, creating and building upon SSG’s strong culture and performance expectations
Build, optimize, and scale digital strategy services through best practices, tools, and ongoing training
Own client satisfaction, retention, and service excellence within the service area
Identify and support business development, service innovation, and expansion opportunities
Ensure seamless communication, aligned priorities, and smooth processes between leadership, the team, and across service areas

Own client retention & relationship management
Serve as a subject matter expert, staying on top of trends and service accounts with strategy, insights and valuable counsel
Attract new clients and collaborate with Business Development and Executive teams to close new opportunities
Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or a related field
7-10+ years in a digital marketing role
Proven track record leading digital strategy across paid media, SEO, customer journey mapping, and multi-channel campaigns
Agency experience or deep familiarity with agency workflow including client pitches, strategic planning, reporting, and campaign execution
Strong strategic thinker with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and scalable marketing plans
Deep understanding of performance marketing, conversion rate optimization, and platform-specific best practices across paid search, social, and web
Able to balance audience insight with business goals, using KPIs, attribution models, and full-funnel performance data to guide and evaluate success
Demonstrated success in managing, mentoring, and growing digital marketing teams
Confident presenter with experience communicating ideas to clients and internal stakeholders at a senior level
Strong project management skills
Proficient in digital marketing and SEO platforms including Meta Ads, Google Ads, Hubspot, Semrush, and Ahrefs
Strong working knowledge of marketing automation, attribution modeling, and media buying platforms
Strategic thinker who can anticipate market shifts and align digital efforts with broader business objectives
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Excellent communication and storytelling skills
Nice to have:
Experience with campaign management and reporting tools such as Google Analytics is a plus
