Job Description:

Digital Assets Application Engineer must be a highly motivated and proactive hands-on software engineer (Full Stack) with experience working with web applications in production. The successful candidate will be part of the core team continuing to build Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, proactive, strong enterprise developer and resourceful team player who can comfortably work with a large team of highly motivated individuals within Citi's larger software engineering network.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with team members in implementation approach of web applications leveraging blockchain technology
Own and deliver functional scope end-to-end of applications leveraging blockchain technology meeting quality standards
Solve and solution for challenges to meet stakeholders' requirements and expectations
Use best and common practices, and design patterns for enterprise web applications
Use best and common practices, and design patterns for web3 applications
Use collaborative tools to manage and deliver work in a distributed team
Contribute and maintain tech documents for code and applications built and maintained
Be a team player and properly communicate in a distributed team
Help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver projects on time, on budget and with quality

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience in full software development and testing lifecycle
3 to 5 years of experience in full-stack development
3 to 5 years of experience and expertise with frontend web development - AngularJS
3 to 5 years of experience and expertise with backend web development - Java and Spring Framework (spring boot)
1 to 3 years of experience and expertise developing web applications using asynchronous programming and communication
Experience and expertise developing web applications adhering to best practices and patterns for reliability, scalability, and performance
Strong team player with ability to communicate to technical/non-technical stakeholders
Proven history of delivering high-quality, increasingly complex, commercial software products
Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, code structure, readable and maintainable code)
Excellent computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Intricate knowledge of controls for consistent deployment and management of applications using tools like git, Jira, Jenkins, Helm Charts

Nice to have:

Experience from financial services industry
Experience with NodeJS
Experience in web3 application development
Familiarity with web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS
Familiarity with common and best practices for web3 applications
Familiarity of UI/UX common and best practices
Familiarity of basics of DevOps and containerize applications
Familiarity of Agile Methodology and Scrum
