We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital and Communications Coordinator to join our Community Engagement team at MLC. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening and extending the reach of the MLC brand and storytelling for prospective families and the wider community through engaging written and digital content.You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, work in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for copywriting, understand strategy and the ‘customer’ needs, and be willing to learn and develop individually and in a team. Prior experience in content development, digital marketing or public relations is essential.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and publish engaging content for the College social media, website and external publications that drives web traffic, increases social media engagement and supports the marketing and communication goals of MLC
Maintain and optimise the College website, ensuring accuracy and SEO best practice
Coordinate the creation and distribution of marketing collateral and campaign assets across digital and ATL channels
Liaise with students, teachers and administrative staff, parents and alumnae to identify content opportunities and promote the College’s achievements and culture
Monitor and report on the performance of social media and website, providing insights and recommendations
Support advertising and PR initiatives, liaising with agencies and internal teams
Assist with key events for prospective families and develop regular communications throughout the enrolment journey
Manage administrative tasks including invoices and inboxes, ensuring smooth processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Digital Content, Communications, Advertising or related field
5+ years experience in a digital communications or marketing role, including online content development (web content, digital copywriting, social media), digital marketing, or communications or similar
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to write for various audiences and mediums with strategic intent
Strong knowledge of digital and social media platforms and analytics tools
Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A current Working with Children Check and Police Check
