Job Description:

DevOps Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise working on the Hybrid Cloud platform and Green Lake next-generation cloud platform. The role involves managing lab environments, virtualization infrastructure, recovery solutions, and collaborating with development teams to accelerate innovation in edge-to-cloud computing.

Job Responsibility:

Lab & Build Environment Maintenance - manage and maintain engineering lab environments, ensuring systems and hardware are functional, secure, and up-to-date
Virtualization Infrastructure Configuration - deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V
Recovery Infrastructure Design & Development - design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and services
System Monitoring and Optimization - monitor infrastructure for capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident response
Collaboration & Documentation - work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to align infrastructure with project needs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline
Typically 4-6 years' experience
Strong programming skills in Python, Groovy, Terraform & Ansible
Experience with design methodologies, cloud-native applications, developer tools, managed services, and next-generation databases
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies and work well with other team members
Understanding DevOps practices like continuous integration/deployment and orchestration with Kubernetes
