In the Airbus Defence & Space Military Aircraft Simulation Domain we develop top notch, high fidelity Engineering and Training Simulations for a variety of aircrafts, supporting the entire development lifecycle. Under the term “Virtual Engineering” (VE), the VE team is establishing a new way-of-working in the European MALE RPAS (Eurodrone) programme: The mission is to generate and deploy a central simulation and all associated governance, processes and tools, in order to support the development, integration and verification of the European MALE RPAS. We also develop and build the Eurodrone Training Simulators. For the Simulation Deployment and Infrastructure working group, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer. In this role, you will enhance and maintain our DevOps pipeline while contributing to the development and integration of Virtual Engineering tools for the Eurodrone test benches. Your responsibilities will also include deploying the Eurodrone simulation software across all our environments, such as virtual labs, simulation laboratory, test benches and future training simulators. As part of an international and multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in this important program for Airbus Defence and Space.
Job Responsibility:
Maintenance of VE CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps automated processes
Maintenance and configuration of VE DevOps tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, Nexus, Artifactory and Jenkins
Development and implementation of Virtual Engineering tools for the test benches and training simulator
Deployment of simulation software across various environments, such as virtual labs, simulation labs, test benches and training simulators
Identification and implementation of improvements in the simulation deployment processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
~4 years of relevant working experience
Proficiency in the following programming languages: Python, bash, Java, Groovy
Experience with version control tools: git
Knowledge of operating systems: Linux / Windows
Experience with DevOps tools: Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jenkins
Advanced English proficiency
Nice to have:
Experience with DevOps tools: GitLab, Artifactory
Experience in hardware & software integration
German and Spanish would be a plus
