Job Description:

As a Development Team Coach & Software Developer, you contribute directly to the team’s technical output while supporting the team in achieving its goals, improving ways of working, and fostering personal and collective growth. You work closely with the Development Manager and other Team Coaches to ensure alignment and consistency across teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the team in setting clear goals and priorities, aligned with Sqills’ organizational objectives
  • Coach the team in Agile ways of working (Kanban), with a focus on flow, predictability, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor team progress and effectiveness using KPIs and qualitative signals, and help the team adjust where needed
  • Facilitate team moments such as retrospectives, kickoffs, refinements, and improvement sessions
  • Encourage self-organization, ownership, and open communication within the team
  • Help balance workloads and address day-to-day impediments that impact team progress
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, supporting personal growth and professional development
  • Address people-related topics such as well-being, collaboration challenges, and performance, in alignment with the Development Manager
  • Actively support knowledge sharing within the team and across teams, working together with other Development Team Coaches
  • Design, implement, and maintain software modifications and enhancements
  • Contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making
  • Draft and review technical specifications
  • Perform and review testing to ensure quality and stability
  • Help monitor and maintain production environments
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and encourage technical learning within the team

Requirements:

  • Solid experience as a software developer, with broad technical knowledge
  • Clear affinity with frontend development (for example React)
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring teams, supporting personal growth and team effectiveness
  • Comfort in addressing performance and collaboration topics with team members
  • Experience working in Agile, DevOps-oriented environments
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • A balanced mindset: people-focused, but results-driven

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Go, Kotlin, React and/or Type Script
  • Enthusiasts about automation and AI tools
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with SaaS products
