As a key member of the CCS, this role is essential in driving both strategic long-term planning and agile short-term execution across the all BU’s accessories calendar. You will lead with creativity and purpose, delivering forward-thinking, culturally relevant design solutions tailored to the China market. By creating iconic and functional accessories that fuse global innovation with local insights, you will elevate brand desirability and deepen Adidas’ connection with the next generation of Chinese consumers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop innovative and functional design concepts for headwear, bags, socks, Pets goods and other lifestyle accessories that align with brand strategy
  • Deliver compelling storytelling and design assets that clearly communicate creative intent and product purpose
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity and brand DNA across all accessory design outputs
  • Push boundaries in material usage, construction techniques, and trim applications to create standout, premium designs
  • Translate concepts into detailed sketches and tech packs with accuracy, ensuring complete and precise handovers to development teams
  • Collaborate closely with apparel designers to create cohesive head-to-toe product stories and seasonal concepts if some of the concepts are link
  • Lead accessories design workflow across seasonal and capsule collections, managing timelines and deliverables with discipline
  • Partner with product marketing and development to align on design vision, feasibility, and commercial goals
  • Drive and enforce a structured design process, balancing creativity with operational execution
  • Track and manage critical path milestones to ensure timely design delivery from concept to production
  • Continuously research global and local trends in accessories, streetwear, sport culture and materials
  • Integrate emerging materials, finishes, and trims into the design process to maintain competitive edge and future relevance
  • Apply insights from China’s fast-evolving consumer landscape to drive market-relevant innovation
  • Stay informed on key competitor offerings and retail landscape to benchmark and differentiate Adidas accessories

Requirements:

  • Excellent design sensibility and understanding of form, function, and performance in accessory products
  • Expertise in accessories construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills to influence across functions and levels
  • Ability to lead multiple projects while maintaining design integrity and deadlines
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Degree in Industrial Design, Accessories Design, Fashion Design, or related field—or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant design experience in accessories, fashion, or sporting goods industry
  • Proven ability to lead design projects from concept to final product, ideally within a cross-functional, matrix organization
  • Experience with and understanding of the China market preferred
  • Passion for sport, fashion, lifestyle, and innovation—and a strong belief in the Adidas brand mission
