Job Description:

The Deputy Commissioning Manager position is a senior management role within the BEP commissioning team. The role is a key position and in effect mirrors the responsibilities & accountabilities of the Commissioning Manager. Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. Lead by example, undertaking at least one safety tour every month across project sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as Deputy for the BEP commissioning manager
  • Provide managerial support & direction for the commissioning test delivery and support teams
  • Support project and client progress reporting requirements
  • Support maintenance and accuracy of commissioning cost estimates
  • Support maintenance and robustness of the Commissioning delivery programme
  • Support the early identification of relevant risks which may impact commissioning delivery and to ensure that they are managed / mitigated as appropriate
  • Ensuing commissioning activities are undertaken in compliance with Sellafield Nuclear Site Licence Condition 21
  • Ensure test teams comply with all commissioning quality management processes and procedures
  • Support the commissioning team audit programme
  • Ensuring managerial processes and procedures required for commissioning delivery on the project are efficient and optimised

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND in Engineering Discipline
  • Significant experience in commissioning of large mechanical handling/process facilities (Preferably on the Sellafield Site)
  • IOSH Managing safely (or equivalent)
  • CCNSG or CSCS (or equivalent)
