Job Description:

The Department Leader, Training, will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs within Airbus Aerostructures S.R.L. This role ensures our workforce possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to meet operational demands, safety standards, and strategic objectives in the aerospace manufacturing sector.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 11 training specialists and instructors
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies and annual plans aligned with company goals
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of training programs
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for training effectiveness
  • Manage the training department's budget, resources, and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and HR departments
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
  • Ensure all training activities comply with internal policies, EASA regulations, and other relevant industry standards
  • Prepare and present regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and recommendations to senior management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Engineering, Aerospace Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in training and development
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, or a highly regulated manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale training programs
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and various training delivery methods
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams effectively
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • A Master's degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale training programs, including technical and soft skills training is a plus
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations, quality standards (e.g., AS/EN 9100), and safety protocols is a plus
