Job Description:

As a Demi Chef de Partie at The Westin Beijing Financial Street, you will prepare and cook food to recipes, ensure food quality and presentation standards, assist in team coordination, and ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and supporting the team.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare special meals or substitute items
regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
pull food from freezer storage to thaw
ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and food garnish
maintain food logs
monitor food quality and quantity
communicate assistance needs during busy periods
inform Chef of excess food items for specials
ensure adherence to quality standards
assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees
ensure adherence to safety and security policies
address guest service needs
maintain positive team relationships

Requirements:

Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
at least 3 years of related work experience
no supervisory experience
ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
ability to lift and move objects weighing less than 25 pounds
adherence to safety and security policies
strong communication and teamwork skills
professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
