Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Data Management and Analytics
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a focus on SQL Server
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server versions (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and above)
  • Experience in installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading SQL Server instances
  • Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for database administration and development
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance
  • Experience in performance tuning of queries and indexes
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies using native SQL Server tools and third-party solutions
  • Knowledge of high availability solutions, such as Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and database mirroring
  • Knowledge of SQL Server security practices, including access control, data encryption, and auditing
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automating administrative tasks
  • Experience with tools such as SQL Server Agent for job scheduling and automation
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Profiler, and third-party tools like Redgate or SolarWinds
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues in the database
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions in critical situations
  • Fluent in English
