Job Description:

This role involves modernizing and managing databases by migrating data to the cloud while maintaining some on-premises systems for confidentiality. Based in Denver, Colorado, you will play a critical role in optimizing database performance and leveraging data for meaningful insights.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement efficient database structures to support business needs
Perform advanced data queries and mining to provide actionable insights
Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting
Migrate data to Azure cloud while ensuring seamless integration with Linux-based on-premises systems
Collaborate with team members to improve data accessibility and reliability
Utilize PowerBI for creating data visualizations and generating reports
Conduct cluster analysis and apply configuration management techniques
Oversee database administration tasks, ensuring data security and compliance
Work closely with in-house applications to ensure database compatibility and efficiency
Provide technical support and mentorship to team members as needed

Requirements:

At least 7 years of experience in database administration and design
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including cloud migration and management
Expertise in Linux technologies and relational database systems such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Advanced skills in database optimization and performance tuning
Strong knowledge of PowerBI for reporting and business intelligence
Experience with cluster analysis and configuration management
Demonstrated ability to work with in-house, custom-built applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
