Job Description:

SDG Group is growing its global Data & Analytics practice and is looking for a talented Data Visualization Engineers with a strong foundation in BI development and dashboard design. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Power BI or Qlik, understands modern data visualization principles, and is passionate about creating meaningful insights for business users. This is a remote, full-time role working on international (Europe-based) projects from Monday to Friday, with an employment contract in USD.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and analytical reports using Power BI or Qlik
  • Transform business requirements into clear, effective visual stories and KPI frameworks
  • Create data models, measures, and DAX expressions (for Power BI) or Qlik scripts (for Qlik)
  • Ensure visualizations follow best practices in usability, performance, and data storytelling
  • Build reusable templates, themes, and visualization standards for project teams
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure optimized data models and sources
  • Conduct user training, demos, and handover sessions with clients
  • Support quality assurance, versioning, and documentation for all delivered BI assets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in BI development or data visualization
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI OR Qlik (one is mandatory)
  • Experience in data modeling, star schemas, and building calculated fields/measures
  • Good command of SQL for querying and shaping data
  • Understanding of dashboard UX principles and design best practices
  • Ability to translate business problems into clear visual insights
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Power BI Service, Row-Level Security, and workspace management
  • Experience with Qlik Sense scripting, QVDs, and Qlik data model optimization
  • Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, SAC, Looker)
  • Familiarity with Azure data sources and cloud-based datasets
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery
  • Certifications (Power BI Data Analyst, Qlik Business Analyst/Developer)
