Job Description:

The Data Stewardship Support Intermediate Analyst will be part of Data Management team under Finance organization supporting GENESIS, a Citi proprietary data warehouse that provides an enterprise wide collection of contracts, positions and balances, which are anchored to financials. The intermediate analyst will work closely with other teams across Finance, Risk, Technology and FRSS organizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement and reinforce strong adherence to the standard operational, risk and control processes as it relates to GENESIS Data Quality Operating Model
  • Perform monthly trend analysis of GENESIS Data Quality exceptions
  • Review GENESIS Data Quality exceptions during month-end cycle and investigate root cause of new exceptions
  • Identify tactical remediation and coordinate with relevant stakeholders within limited timeframe to meet monthly KPI
  • Propose appropriate strategic solution and liaise with relevant groups to eliminate GENESIS data quality exceptions in the medium to long-term period
  • Follow through the delivery of strategic solution through proactive involvement and regular coordination with strategic solution owners, e.g. FRSS Implementation teams, IMR (Issue Management Resolution) owners, etc.
  • Manage and address data quality queries/issues on GENESIS production data through timely feedback to data users
  • Conduct second-level investigation on medium to complex data quality queries/issues on GENESIS production data and propose resolution path (both tactical and strategic)
  • Escalate timely to appropriate resolver groups, e.g. technology teams, if data investigation requires expertise outside of the team, and follow through accordingly
