We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Data Science & AI team within the Global Supply division. You'll play a crucial part in exploring data, designing experiments, and building proof-of-concept models that solve real business problems, then handing off validated approaches to our AI Engineers for productionisation.
Job Responsibility:
Exploring and analysing large datasets using Python, SQL, and Databricks to uncover patterns and business opportunities
Designing and running experiments (A/B tests, causal inference, statistical modelling) to validate hypotheses and measure impact
Building and iterating on proof-of-concept ML models using Azure Machine Learning, MLflow, and Spark
Preparing clear documentation and handoff packages for AI Engineers to productionise validated models
Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined analytical questions
Applying NLP, LLMs, embeddings, and generative AI techniques where appropriate
Communicating findings through compelling visualisations and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
3+ years' experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics
Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, matplotlib/seaborn)
Experience with Databricks, Spark, and SQL for large-scale data analysis
Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning and MLflow
Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
Strong communication and collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams
A tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Nice to have:
Experience with NLP, LLMs, prompt engineering, or embeddings
Azure certifications
Familiarity with data governance and responsible AI frameworks
