The Data Governance Foundation Sr Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and workflow. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.
Job Responsibility:
Consult with Data providers and end users to support defining, and/or integrating processes to align with the enterprise Data Governance roadmap and/or Data Risk and Control framework and taxonomy
Defines strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality
Accountable for understanding and documenting systems, data flows and data quality rules driven from the profiling and assessments of critical data
Leads system change process from requirements through implementation
Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within own business analysis area to resolve issues
Applies in-depth understanding and knowledge of how business integrates within the sub function
as well as coordinates and contributes to the objectives of the function and overall business
Monitor and report governance metrics including Data Governance adoption and maturity
Monitor alignment of processes across business, functions and lines of business to the Enterprise Data Governance Policy and standards to meet its specific requirements
Contribute to producing recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding policies, standards and procedures
Influences decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree
8+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management or related area
Issue or change management experience
Strong functional knowledge of Data reconciliation, root causing of issues and banking products
Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Tools like PowerBI or Knime will be added advantage
Strong communications skills
Need to work with stakeholders and keep them updated on developments, estimation, delivery and issues
