Data Entry Clerk

• Enter and organize data accurately to address a backlog of utility checks
• Contact utility companies to verify check details and ensure proper documentation
• Maintain records of returned checks and update relevant systems accordingly
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies in data
• Ensure compliance with company protocols and data entry standards
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and manage high volumes of data efficiently

• Provide timely updates to supervisors regarding the status of the backlog

• Proven experience in data entry or a related administrative role
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with external utility companies
• Proficient in using data entry software and office productivity tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Prior experience handling returned checks or similar financial tasks is a plus
