Job Description:

For our Digital hub in Malmö, we are looking for a Data Engineer to help us build state-of-the-art data products and transform IKEA into a data-driven company. The role involves developing data pipelines, leveraging cloud services such as GCP, and utilizing AI to improve customer support globally.

Job Responsibility:

Design, development, and operation of digital products
Understanding problems and designing solutions by quick prototyping
Delivering and running services in production
Making data available to improve IKEA products and services
Creating components on e.g. data contracts, data lineage, metadata management, monitoring, quality
Using AI and Generative AI to enhance customer support experience

Requirements:

Some previous experience as a Data Engineer and Cloud Backend Engineer and a willingness to learn
Knowledge in developing and deploying data pipelines
Knowledge of cloud-based services, in particular Google Cloud platform as well as tools such as dbt, DataForm, Terraform
Knowledge of programming languages (in particular python)
A team player who takes ownership and loves to keep learning and sharing knowledge
