Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database logic — stored procedures, triggers, functions, and workflow automation
Maintain and extend a Workflow Engine developed in PL/pgSQL supporting core business processes
Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for production systems
Design and maintain data models, schemas, and consistency rules across multiple domains
Implement data validation, monitoring, and integrity checks across environments
Collaborate with backend and analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and security compliance
Support reporting and analytical needs — SQL views, stored procedures, staging structures
Participate in architecture reviews, optimization planning, and technical documentation
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Azure Database for PostgreSQL (primary)
Strong experience with relational and non-relational (graph, document-based) models
Experience in Data Warehousing: Azure Synapse Analytics or similar DWH engines
Experience in Azure Data Lake / Blob Storage
structured and semi-structured data (CSV, JSON, Parquet)
Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data movement and automation (optional)
Advanced experience in SQL / PL/pgSQL
Solid knowledge of data modeling and performance optimization
Experience in documenting requirements and specifications
People-oriented and a team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers
Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English
Degree in applied computer science
Nice to have:
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, .NET)
Azure PaaS ecosystem — identity, networking, monitoring, and security principles
