We are building Optiver’s next-generation Enterprise Data Platform on the Databricks Lakehouse. As a Data Engineer – Enterprise, you’ll design the curated data models, pipelines, and metrics that make data a trusted asset across Finance, People, and Business Operations. This is a hands-on role at the center of our data transformation: you’ll shape how business stakeholders access and trust data, working on one of the most modern stacks in the industry.
Job Responsibility:
Build clean, scalable ELT pipelines using dbt, SQL, PySpark, and Databricks
Design curated models and semantic layers to standardize KPIs across Finance, People, and Ops
Partner directly with business teams to turn complex requirements into clear, reusable data products
Implement governance and quality checks (lineage, testing, role-based access) so data is reliable and secure
Deliver data products that power BI tools and self-service analytics
Contribute to platform best practices (CI/CD, naming conventions, testing frameworks)
Requirements:
Experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering, ideally with exposure to Finance, People, or Business Ops data
Advanced SQL and dbt skills, with experience modeling for analytics (dimensional, medallion, vault)
Hands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse platforms
Understanding of data governance and quality frameworks
Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
