Job Description:

To support MDPI Process Intelligence by building dashboards and data reports for internal auditing teams and Research Integrity and publication ethics team. Assisting in SQL and Python, so MDPI can gain an overview of its editorial processes with data. This will result in MDPI having proactive transparent metrics to report internally and externally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Extract, clean, and analyse complex large-scale process – related datasets from IT systems and event logs using SQL and Python
  • Apply process mining methodologies and tools (proM, PM4py) to visualize, analyse, and optimize business processes
  • Utilize advanced analytics, statistical and mathematical modelling techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key process KPIs and develop monitoring dashboards
  • Communicate findings clearly through dashboards, reports, visualizations, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay updated on the latest process mining technologies and industry best practices
  • Process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process management
  • Ensuring data quality at every step and contribute to data governance across the business

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Science / Math / Computer Science / Engineering or related
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in data analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Knowledge in Data Quality and Governance
  • Experience with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively organize your time
  • Comfortable working in a diverse, international environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Process Mining and BPMN
  • Knowledge of Apache Superset
