The Co-op Student “Data Analyst position” in Customer Experience Team is an outstanding opportunity to join a diverse and experienced group of fellows Co-ops to part in innovation and improvement projects helping the internal workings of a multinational networking and communications company. These projects can span many departments and offices and will give you exposure to new technologies and methods of working. You will support and learn alongside senior engineers and developers who are experts in their respective fields to accomplish your goals and create continuous improvements for the company!
Job Responsibility:
Work on a variety of analytic activities, including data preparation, data exploration, data visualization, machine learning (Power BI, Jupyter)
Work on data engineering tasks to develop and maintain pipeline (Kubernetes, Argo workflows)
Develop your skills in data accessing and management (SQL, Parquet, PySpark)
Meet with task stakeholders and define plans for analyzing and resolving ongoing problems
Researching and presenting prospective technologies and platforms for the department and office
Work with a dynamic global team supporting analytic investigations into hardware related issues, applying different skills from data science
Socialize with other Co-ops at the Ottawa office through the Ericsson E-Squad program, for weekly games and occasional exciting competitions between E-Squads
Engage with Ericsson’s bottom-up innovation initiatives to suggest new ideas and services for the corporation
Teach and learn from colleagues at weekly knowledge sharing sessions on vital topics
Requirements:
Studying in a related technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, etc) for bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience
2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, or Master’s program, on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
Your expertise with programming and scripting in Python
Experience with Pandas and data processing
Knowledgeable with advanced statistics
English speaking and writing communication capabilities
Comfortable speaking up about work related tasks and describing ongoing progress
Excellent planning and organizational capabilities
