Job Description:

KAYAK is seeking a collaborative leader to manage a two-person cybersecurity team in Berlin and partner with the global security team to mature their security program. The role focuses on designing and improving security components, monitoring threats, investigating incidents, running vulnerability programs, and collaborating globally with engineering teams.

Job Responsibility:

manage, guide and mentor 2 security engineers in our Berlin office
design, implement, and improve security program components, tools, and processes
monitor threats, investigate incidents, and contribute to the incident response playbook and policies
run infrastructure and application vulnerability management programs
evaluate new security tools and recommend practical improvements
collaborate with engineering teams globally to integrate security into development and operations

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity
minimum 2 years of experience managing people
strong analytical abilities
extensive knowledge of security controls and technologies
strong hands on technical skills, particularly with Linux
strong background in threat detection and incident response and management
minimum 2 years of experience running a vulnerability management program
experience implementing cloud security controls and detections
proficiency in scripting in one or more scripting languages
familiarity with NIST CSF framework or similar
familiarity with PCI DSS requirements and controls
familiarity with GDPR requirements
