Job Description:

IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Customer Service Assistant to join our fantastic team. The role includes working on checkouts and returns desk, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring accurate handling of returned products. You will work 12 hours per week on weekends and occasionally weekday evenings. Benefits include a discount, life assurance, healthy meal options, and more.

Job Responsibility:

Working on our checkouts and returns desk to support our customers in a timely manner
Using your knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with any issues raised
Ensuring accurate handling of all returned products, highlighting and escalating any product issues immediately
Supporting customers experiencing difficulties in product assembly and where needed being able to order and exchange spare parts

Requirements:

You prefer to take initiative, are adept at managing several responsibilities concurrently, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision
You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do
You are computer literate and able to work with technology
The ability to maintain composure and patience when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints
