We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Customer Experience Specialist to join our team in San Diego, California. This Contract-to-permanent position plays a pivotal role in connecting individuals to vital services and resources, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. As part of a mission-driven non-profit organization, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional support and strengthening community outreach.
Job Responsibility:
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, providing accurate information, referrals, and assistance
Document client interactions thoroughly and efficiently using web-based systems
Stay informed about available resources and services to provide up-to-date guidance
Collaborate closely with internal teams to address and meet client needs effectively
Deliver exceptional customer service across all communication channels
Utilize CRM tools and other software systems to track and manage client interactions
Handle billing and benefit-related inquiries with precision and professionalism
Assist customers in navigating systems such as Epic Software and Avaya CMS
Resolve issues and escalate complex cases when necessary
Maintain compliance with organizational policies and standards in every interaction
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or higher preferred
equivalent experience and education beyond high school will be considered
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role
Familiarity with public health, social work, psychology, sociology, criminology, or related fields is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in web-based systems, CRM tools, chat platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with platforms like ADP, Epic Software, and Avaya CMS is highly desirable
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
