Job Description:

As a Criminal Justice Keyworker, you will provide a range of interventions and support to women involved in the criminal justice system. Your role will involve offering one-to-one support, guidance, information, and signposting to help raise self-esteem, self-efficacy, and enhance social and recovery capital. You will work collaboratively with various agencies to develop and implement gender-responsive support plans tailored to individual needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System
  • Collaborate with referring organisations, including Voluntary, Statutory, and Criminal Justice agencies
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, including health, psychological, and social needs
  • Develop, implement, and review gender-responsive support plans
  • Support clients through the court process and attend multi-agency meetings as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of services
  • Attending women's only reporting days and facilitating groups

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with women with multiple complex needs
  • Knowledge of gender-responsive practice and trauma-informed environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and cope in stressful situations
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
