Job Description:

A highly regarded professional services firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Lawyer at Mid Associate or Manager level to join their established legal team in London. This is a permanent opportunity offering exposure to complex and high-profile criminal matters across a wide client base. The successful Criminal Defence Lawyer will be working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, where professional growth is encouraged, and quality of work is paramount.

Job Responsibility:

Manage own caseload of criminal defence matters from start to finish
Lead on case strategy
Liaise with clients and enforcement agencies
Prepare cases for hearings and trial
Collaborate with colleagues across the team
Supervise junior lawyers where required
Contribute to maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence in criminal defence
Support business development initiatives within the department

Requirements:

Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in criminal law
Valid Duty Solicitor accreditation highly desirable
Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal) advantageous
Strong advocacy skills
Confident case handling
Ability to work independently under pressure
Attention to detail
Client-focused approach
