Job Description:

Bring the Coates brand to life through bold, compelling design. At Coates, our brand tells the story of who we are — trusted, innovative and built to perform. We’re looking for a Creative Designer to play a key role in shaping and expressing that story across every touchpoint. As part of our Marketing and Communications team, you’ll be the custodian of Coates’ visual identity, leading the creation of high-quality, engaging design across print, digital, social and internal channels. This role blends strong technical design capability with conceptual thinking and visual storytelling, giving you the opportunity to influence how our brand shows up every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and production of creative collateral across web, social, digital, print and internal communications
  • Champion brand consistency, applying and evolving Coates’ visual identity across all channels
  • Translate briefs into strong creative concepts that connect with audiences and support business objectives
  • Deliver end-to-end design projects in line with brand guidelines, approval processes and timelines
  • Produce high-quality marketing and communications assets including brochures, flyers, advertisements, case studies, eDMs, event collateral and social media content
  • Apply thoughtful interpretation of feedback to continually refine and strengthen creative outcomes
  • Stay up to date with design trends, tools and best practice, sharing insights with the broader team
  • Balance multiple projects at once while maintaining attention to detail and high creative standards

Requirements:

  • 2–5+ years’ experience in a professional design role
  • Strong conceptual thinking, ideation and visual storytelling skills
  • Advanced capability in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects (advantageous)
  • Experience designing for both print and digital, with an understanding of accessibility principles
  • A solid understanding of the end-to-end creative process, from brief through to production
  • Strong layout, typography and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence
  • A proactive, positive mindset with a desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Competence in PowerPoint and MS Office
